Empty Robin’s Nest

I thought it was going to be good news   :((     The Robin’s eggs are gone      It was in an area available to many predators. It wasn’t a cat. Cats claw at the nest and make a mess of it. There are a few coyotes around. They have a den not far away.    fencing-wagon-with-robin-nest

Natural selection in action. For the convenience of a roof over her head this bird sacrificed safety.
It would have been so fantastic to see the babies grow up.
You’d have to eat a lot of robins’ eggs to make a meal of them….right, Sherry? :)
