Slow Cooker Chicken

Now you have a clue what I go through to have a little chicken on my plate. It’s lots of work isn’t it?

This Rooster had to be at least 2 years old, so I thought he’d be tough. I put him in the slow cooker along with salt, pepper, lots of onion and chives, and a generous amount of poultry seasoning. It was already a tender product after 4 hours.

I was short of time so I used some canned potatoes. I threw them in the pan with butter and grapeseed oil (Hubby says they must have squeezed a lot of seeds for that) and a good shake of garlic powder.

Chicken with garlic spuds and tomato jelly on vegies.

Along with the garden lettuce are the mixed vegetables that are topped with tomato jelly made with tomatoes but tastes like a cranberry-tomato mix. Between the poultry seasoned chicken and the slight taste of cranberry it reminds a person of Christmas.
