and then…Tomato Basil Sauce

3 lbs. peeled tomatoes (scald and remove skins)

1 cup chopped fresh basil

Making a recipe for the sauce

2 teaspoons each of salt and pepper

1 cup dry onion flakes 

2 teaspoons garlic powder

1 tablespoon olive oil

6 tablespoons balsamic vinegar

1/2 cup honey

Optional: 1/2 cup mayonnaise or equivalent

 

 

Cook all together for 15 minutes. I put this in jars too.  Homemade sauces…mmmm…yah!
