Popcorn Fiesta

I’m still at it. I’ve been on this popcorn kick for 3-4 months now. A big reason for me is the gluten-free content. I’ve decided to share my newest experiment with you. (Especially for you Connie since you just sent over a sample of your homemade butter. I LOVE butter!)

HOT CHILI POPCORN

1 gallon dry popped corn

4 cups rice-based chex cereal

2-3 tablespoons olive oil

4 teaspoons ( I used 17% type) dry parmesan cheese

popcorn-flavouring-spices

It looks super and tasty superb!

 3 teaspoons chili powder

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

sprinkle of salt to taste

optional, but great: 2 pinches of cayenne.

 

Drizzle or spray oil on popcorn. Toss in. Stir all spices very well, especially if using the cayenne, before adding them to the popcorn.

  1. Sherry do you buy gluten-free popcorn and ingredients for this recipe? How has going gluten free helped you? Have you written any posts about this? :)

      Yes the popcorn, olive oil and spices are all gluten-free. What matters to me is that they are wheat-free. I have mentioned that this is the case with my diet, but I haven’t done a post on purely that. I could. :)
