The Cumfrey Works

cumfrey-salve

I don’t know about how it does on burns yet, but the cumfrey¬†salve I made works on inflamed zits!

I had¬†one in my ear yesterday, and since I needed to test this stuff I made, I’m starting to put it on things. 24 hours later the little sore center was there but the large bump had disappeared. It had been annoying me for the last week. When there is a sore in certain bodily places it can be very painful to do anything with…the ear is one…the nostril is another…

I wasn’t able to stand the pain of squeezing it although I tried and almost screamed twice. So it works good for “ear zits”, heh heh.

  1. I would like to learn more about poultices. I think they are an important lost medicine.

This reminds me of the comfrey/olive oil/beeswax salve I made. What a process. I made enough to last a millennium. I gave some to a young man who was allergic to soaps and had dry hands. He loved it. So it certainly can be used for other purposes. The photo…is this the beeswax or the finished product? Did you strain out the residue?

It looks curdly and awful. I think I should have had more oil and use unfrozen cumfrey, etc. That’s the finished product. When you put it on a pimple it looks like a big green bumpy ugly WART…har har. Remember “I’m a witch” (see post). I didn’t strain out anything except the ‘eye-of-noot’ hahaha
