Snow?

Huh? It’s June 4.

July 4 041

It’s a dull day at 7am

The moral of the day is: Be careful what you pray for. I prayed for moisture. I got it. At 6 am it was only three degrees C above the freezing mark!

Who wants to go out there?

Who wants to go out there?

I planted my corn, tomato and flower transplants just 4 days ago. The corn is sagging–ewwwh!

Snow itself won’t freeze plants – it’s the temperature you have to watch for. Tonight it’s supposed to go down to 2 degrees Celsius and only hit a high…(high?) of 7 C.

I’m not so sure I want to see the garden today.

I was just reading a blog news-post from ahhthesimplelife@gmail.com where they mentioned an age old saying like this: “What is so rare as a day in June?”. How true today.

How rare!

I could see my tracks where I left the house to check on the new baby chicks. The dog was smart and stayed on the porch.

    How did your corn fare?
I planted mine later than I wanted, from seed, in the last week of May. They are beautiful now, but I don’t know if they will be ready before frost.
