Deer eating me…

…out of house and home. They like the tantalizing tidbits in my garden that represent exotic treats to them. What’s not to like? I thought it odd that they didn’t pass by and nibble down the rows of lettuce and cabbage this spring. They’ve apparently changed their itinerary this year to late fall.

Pruned carrots. Only one came partly out of the ground. If the deer had tasted it, the rest of the orange roots may have also disappeared. It must have been an inexperienced predator!

Beet treats. I knew I grew them for SOME reason.

Tormented rutabagas.

You’re so lucky that deer didn’t taste the carrot! Ugh! They are nasty creatures.
I’ve made a concoction that I spray on all my fruit trees. They seem to leave them alone. ..knock on wood… I will have to change it next year so that they don’t get used to it.
