So by assembling your house… is that like lego blocks?

Yes, only you have to cut the lengths (which I designed to taper at the corners, etc) to fit the plan (my plan) and where things join, like in the corners and at the loft supports everything has to match perfectly. It was a stressful ordeal, because we put a lot of work into each log before it was ready to go up. We could only do one log per day on average. The moment that it was coming into place was the climax of my worries…would it fit???, followed by the very big relief when it did.
There’s a lot more to it though: The lengthwise grooves where they fit together, to keep them straight, the problems with milling (twisting), meeting points at openngs, electrical holes through every layer of logs…lego blocks sounds a lot nicer. I have so many things to share. I have pictures that I could scan of the partial completion.
